About Raisha

Woven in Surat, worn around the world

Twenty-four years of weaving, dyeing and finishing — held to a single standard, order after order.

A mill built on judgement, not volume

The Beginning

A mill built on judgement, not volume

In 2001, Surat had no shortage of looms. What it lacked was consistency. Our founders started Raisha to prove that a mid-scale Indian mill could deliver the same lot-to-lot reliability that European buyers took for granted — and could do it while keeping the hand-feel that makes Indian fabric distinctive.

That principle has shaped every decision since: bringing dyeing in-house before it was affordable, commissioning a testing laboratory before a buyer demanded one, and refusing orders we could not deliver on time. It is a slower way to grow a mill. It is also why 78% of our volume comes from clients who have bought from us before.
